Dr. Shashikant Saini EXERCISE TIPS:
1) Avoid overhead lifting as it may damage shoulders -- arms are made for climbing and carrying, not lifting.

2) When doing lower back exercises, keep your back straight. Tilt forward slightly and tuck in your abdominal muscles to reduce stress on your lower back.

3) Squat; don't bend, when picking up something heavy.

4) When doing leg exercises, don't bend your knees more than 90 degrees, as that can seriously damage your menisci or ligaments.

5) Avoid running outside on pavement or any other hard surface, as it places a heavy impact on your joints and back. Instead, run on a treadmill, because it has a shock absorber that the pavement doesn't.
